Went here for an undercut with Sherry. The next time I got my haircut with the owner Katie, and she asked me "Your undercut is lopsided, do you want me to fix it?" That was a surprise to me! Katie seemed to be competent, so I back to her for a couple undercut touch ups and got a few really good ones. The last time I saw her, I explained what I wanted and she kinda cut me off nodding like 'yepp yepp I know what you're talking about', and it was nothing like what I was trying to describe, so I had a horrible undercut for an event I really cared about. The next time I went to Glama-Rama, and the last time I'll ever go there, I got a Ouidad (wavy/curly hair cut) with Joey. I had previously gotten the best haircut of my life from Joey before she went on maternity leave so was really excited to see her again. She spent 8-10 minutes discussing what I wanted, and at the end summarized what we discussed and verbalized an exact understanding of what I wanted. She used her arm to show that my 10 inch bob would have an angle (shorter in back, longer in front), said she'd take 2 inches off in the back and just "dust" the front (to keep it long), said I'd still be able to have a pony tail, and said she'd keep my layers long since I told her that I don't like layers because they create poor waves on my hair. She understood I was thinking of growing my hair out and really only wanted a couple inches at most off. She also said the haircut would take 90 minutes. I walked out of the salon 45 minutes later with hair that was exactly opposite everything she said she would do. She too of 4-5 inches from my hair, and it was longest in back! The front where she said she would dust she took so many inches off that it they couldn't stay in a pony tail. She cut the short layers in my hair - I had chunks about 2 inches long. Of course these pieces stick straight out as I described to her they would). Those short layers will take years to grow out! I have no idea why I paid her $120. My friends said I should have refused to pay given that she gave me a haircut that was seriously the exact opposite of what she said she'd do. I could tell she knew she messed up because she texted me the next day saying "I could tell the layers in the back felt a bit short for you" and offered me to return for "free tweaks" as it grows out. My friends recommended I never let her touch my hair again and I have to agree. I'm still really unclear why this horrible haircut happened - does she has short term memory loss or did she just decide to ignore what we agreed on, because she's incompetent or because she disliked me? It was an incredibly confusing, frustrating, and hurtful and experience. I would not recommend this salon.
