Walked into Plainville location yesterday. MIstakenly thought that I was being asked if I needled help to only find out that my affirmation of said request was directed at another customer- that's fair because said customer was there before I was. As time went on, yes time did go on because the products for African American hair are placed toward the rear of the store which made it quite a feat to have located those products without assistance. As I was looking for second product, toward the front, the same employee, who is African American and quite tall was relentless in her efforts to coerce the names of 2 white clients - inviting them to a launch party on some Saturday morning- it will be fun- there's usually dancing, sic etc ( well that sometimes happens at parties, but i digress.So what is it ULTA?- classism, racism your m.o. I feel more sad for that employee who must have such self hate. Do better white corp America.

Went to Ulta on a whim. Woke up and decided to go get my haircut. Walked in and Cindy was working. She was so nice and patient. Told her to do whatever she thinks will look good. I needed a change. I walked out 3 hours later with a fabulous haircut and a great color! I am very happy paying a little extra than I'm used to and Cindy will now be my new hairdresser for life! I have very thick, curly hair and lots of grey and she gave me exactly what I've been looking for for years. An easy style that looks great

Customer service at this location absolutely sucks , I've been coming to this Ulta since they opened and the reason why is because it's close to where I live . On many occasions I've gone into this store and would not get greeted or asked if I needed any assistance. Only type of customer service I would get was when I was checking out . I have witnessed customers who weren't of color go in before me or after me & get a warm greeting . It's pretty disappointing but the way this world is now it doesn't surprise me . It's unfortunate because I spend a lot of money at Ulta , needless to say I will not be returning to the Plainville location .

Absolutely love the staff at the salon! Best experience ever! Except NO Wifi. While waiting for my hair to set, I was unable to use my phone even with the data. PLEASE GET WIFI!!!

Love love the variety of beauty products at this store. Only reason im not giving it a 5 star is because i never could get anyone to help me find something. Other than that is my favorite place to shop.

The product range is good & the sales associates are generally very helpful. Have found some nice limited edited scents in-store that were out of stock online or via the manufacturer.
