I researched hair salons for months before finally settling on The Hive. Yelp & Google reviews all averaged an incredible average of 5 stars. I called to make an appointment over the phone and was greeted warmly by the receptionist. I told her that I was in search of a hair stylist who was "a precision cutter". I have had hopes in new hair stylists and had been let down before. Nothing is worse then a bad hair cut and having to wait months/years to grow it back out. She first informed me that they had two locations. I told her I would prefer the Whitney Avenue location being that it was closer to me. She then scheduled me with Christine. I arrived at my appointment about 5-10 minutes early and she was finishing up with her client. I was super impressed right off the bat with the timeliness. I hate showing up early or on time to an appointment only to have to wait. The salon is a small, cozy rectangle-like spot right next to a vintage clothing store. (Adorable!) I then communicated my desired hair cut and style to Christine to which I established an easy, breezy rapport with right off the bat. (A+ for communication) She then washed, cut and blew dry my hair to the perfect style I had been trying to achieve for months in an hour. All while she was cutting my hair, I was asking her questions about the products I should use, hair type, scalp issues and styles I hoped to create on my own afterwards. She was super friendly and was able to answer all my questions immediately with years of knowledge and experience under her belt. We chatted up a storm and laughed a lot too! When it was all said and done, I left a satisfied customer. I waited a week, curled my hair, straightened it, and tried all sorts of different styles. I was so impressed, I called to commend Christine on her work. I finally found a hair stylist who lived up to my high expectations! Please book your appointment at The Hive Hair Studio today!!!
