I called Lina's Hair Salon in hopes that the negative reviews were wrong. Having moved back to the middle Georgia area after living in Atlanta for 20 years, I am very familiar with Dominican hair salons. Many salons, including Black and other natural hair salons, that cater to all types of hair are open on Sundays. Since this salon advertised online that it is open on Sundays and that walk-ins are welcome, I called. I am an educator and carry myself professionally, so I know I spoke clearly when the owner, Lina, answered. I was courteous and friendly as I introduced myself over the phone. She asked, "Who is this? How did you get this number?" I told her that her number can be found when doing a Google search of salons. She finally said, "I not taking any new clients now." There is no typo, so you read it right. She said "I" and not "I'm" before rudely hanging up the phone. I understand that some stylists are not taking new clients. But judging from her rudeness and the reviews of her salon, I highly doubt she has a booming business. She may be a good stylist, but presentation and attitude are everything when dealing with the public!

DO NOT GO HERE! If I could leave no stars, I would. This woman is beyond rude, unprofessional, and has no idea how to deal with textured hair. Save your time and money.

I Was desperate to find a REAL Dominican salon close to my new home and I found Lina. I've been coming to Lina since I moved to Macon, GA which was back in 2013. I always leave her shop satisfied. Prices are great, hairstyles are perfect. Very professional in my opinion.

I never been here before or heard of this place. BUT I was in my car dropping off someone (they asked me for a ride) right next door in the insurance place. And I parked in front of a completely empty house or building, (this hair salon). I was trying to find directions on my phone back to my home when all of a sudden I heard someone yelling. This black lady was telling me I couldn't park there and to leave. I WASN'T EVEN THERE FOR LIKE LONGER THAN 3 MINUTES. I was about to go off on her but I decided not to waste my time. I even felt kind of sorry too because if she thinks 3 minutes supposedly blocking her view of her business, I bet she doesn't get business at all. And Judging by these other reviews, she does seem like a rude a** lady. I actually admire the dominican culture and was suprised there was a dominican salon in this area. Take your money elsewhere where they aren't AMARGAO (rude)

Linda is awesome......she takes her time with hair and makes sure you get the look you want.I left with my hair soft, silky, and bouncy!!Very reasonable prices.You will be highly satisfied!!!
