It would appear that this location now allows those who don't know how to cut hair to.... cut hair. I showed up around 630 (about 30 minutes prior to close), and the woman at the back cleaning (Kathy, per my receipt) up came up to cut my hair. From the off, it was pretty clear she didn't know what she was doing; with the clippers she would only trip tiny parts off of an area where the length should be consistent. Also, she had zero control of the chair, so I'm having to use my own legs to keep the chair stable.
Finally, the more experienced hair dresser came over and took over and finished the clipper work. She did a good job. When it came time, however, to use the scissors she asked the less experienced person "are you comfortable doing this?" I blame myself for missing the opportunity to answer for her and just say "absolutely not" - the woman answered in the affirmative and went ahead inconsistently snipping off bits and pieces from my hair. Long story short, she basically trimmed the back of my head, and totally ignored the front; until I can go elsewhere tomorrow to get it fixed, with my really long front hair and short back hair, I'd be well suited for a Flock of Seagulls reunion.
Apparently the standard of skill level is so low at this place, you can't be confident you'll get someone with the required skill set to complete the work. I'm certainly not. I would avoid this place at all costs; there are plenty of other places in a similar price range in the area that hire people that know what they're doing.
