Great customer service every time I have been here. Price is a little high for a wax if yoh do more than just the eye brows but definitely worth it.

Just left Fantastic Sam's in Austin this Tuesday where I dropped in around 10:00am for a walk-in appointment. A "stylist" met me at the front (brunette, blue eyes... Never received an introduction otherwise I'd share her name); I asked if she had time for a quick cut and she walked me back to a chair. I shared a few photos of the basic layered cut I like. She responded by asking what I'm comfortable with, "like an inch? Half an inch?" I told her to start with half an inch, then we could go from there. My hair grows longer in the back than the front so after taking a half inch off overall I had a very stark difference between the front and back (think long choppy mullet). When I asked her to bring the back up some more and layer it to cascade toward the front, she told me: "Well that's a totally different haircut and you’ll be charged for another haircut". WHHHHAATTTT? Since when did asking for a little more off the back become A SECOND HAIRCUT??? Absolutely absurd. To add insult to injury she left me on multiple occasions through the 5 minute hack job to take phone calls and when she’d returned she wouldn’t even pick up where she left off. When I pushed, “this isn’t what I want… I just want more off the back to even it out” she grew irritated with me (*que eye roll*). Recognizing her frustration and unwillingness to work with me I quickly let her know, “Never mind, I’m not comfortable proceeding any longer”. She aggressively put her sheers down on the counter and quickly stormed over to the cash register where she threatened me (“Well I have your name”) when I told her I was not going to pay for a bad haircut that is completely not what I requested. This stylist made no effort to understand what I was asking for, was severely rude to me from start to end, and made no attempt at helping fix the situation whatsoever. I’ve had some great experiences with other stylists, but this was truly the WORST experience I’ve had at this salon. Never again, Fantastic Sams! ZERO STARS
