I went to this braiding shop after searching the Internet for African braid shops in Lafayette. This was the only location that came up. I am disappointed with my hair to say the least. Initially I made it very clear NOT to braid my edges and perimeter TOO TIGHT! I had to continually request the ladies to not braid my hair too tight. After day 2, I've developed redness and bumps around my hairline. I'm not sure what's hard to understand about NOT braiding TOO TIGHT!!!!! I also asked for a certain size (not too small and not too chunky), the size was too small and and not consistent. The ends were much skinnier than the start of the twist. Upon finishing, the braider also burned hair that was left out, saying it makes the style "look neater". How about the smell of burnt synthetic hair????? I've had my hair braided many of times and I've NEVER experienced this. They had the nerve to give me business cards to pass out .... I WISH I WOULD!!! I ALWAYS TIP AT LEAST 15%, I DID NOT FEEL INCLINED TO DO SO THIS TIME!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE ....EVER!!!!! I paid $230 for this style, totally a waste of my money.
