There used to be 3 Hair Cutteries in Annapolis; now there is just one. We recently went to the remaining one this past Sunday although I was reluctant given my husband's last time there. Hair Cuttery closes at 6 on Sunday. We called at 4:00 to make an appointment. We were told they could see us at 4:10. That would not work so we made an appointment for 5:15. We arrived early checked in and the stylist who checked us in assigned us to Ashley (busy at the time with a customer). The one who checked us in then left for the day. After 10 minutes a second stylist asked if we had checked in and then she too left for the day. The few customers that were there were leaving with 2 stylists open and Ashley still working. We were the last arrivals and as of 5:30 still waiting. Meanwhile stylist 3 was finished, spent time on phone and started sweeping while we still waited. At 5:40 Ashley finished with her customer, realized she still had us and asked the stylist who was on her phone to take us so that Ashley could leave early to make an after workappointment. After a 40 minute wait we got our appointment with a stylist who didn't understand nor know what we were asking for (basic feathering and layering). At 5:50 we decided to give it up and leave and the stylist replied " fine, whatever ". No new customers arrived after we arrived at 5 but the stylists were more concerned about cutting out early. Dont work Sundays if you can't do the entire shift. We have been going to Hair Cuttery since they started in the 80s and it's a shame to see it go downhill.
P.S. Some of the topical treatments on the sale table were 2 years past their expiration date.
