Great cuts, very affordable, convenient to get several cuts at once; not sure if the staff are well treated, though.
The first time I was in, the atmosphere was very tense. My hairdresser (who was excellent, by the way) was oddly tense and quiet, and I picked up on even more tense vibes from one of the other women staff, who was acting downright scared. Probably she brought that degree of nervousness in with her, I don't mean to imply there is physical abuse going on, but given the general tension in the atmosphere that day, it had me very concerned about what I felt had to be bullying dynamics in the work environment. I did *not* see the dominant personality in the room do anything wrong, so I won't name this person; I just couldn't help but notice they were the *only* one acting extroverted and nonchallant, in what was otherwise a very tense and quiet room. Maybe they are the manager? That could explain a need for communication that may be challenging for them to accomplish. Still, respectful and cool-headed communication does not result in that kind of atmosphere.so it seems to me this person has some important work to do here.
As far as my direct experience with the staff, and their cuts, my experience has been great. My son has had cuts from two male staff there; both were friendly toward him and gave great cuts. My daughter's hairdresser Lynne is especially worthy of note.
I took my daughter to Lynne for her first short haircut. Lynne looked at the pictures of what we wanted. Rather than just nodding and cutting, she gave important feedback, and suggested a minor change that would make all the difference when factoring in my daughter's curls. I got the impression that she knows exactly what she is doing, and that she really cares about how it looks.
To top it off, when I asked her for instructions about styling it, Lynne replied, simply, "There are no rules," and put a whimsical braid in it. This was exactly what I needed to hear, to relax and have fun with this playful new cut!
We absolutely loved the cut, and my daughter gets compliments on it all the time. I always ask for Lynne and give her a huge tip every time; she is top notch!
