I had an appointment in December to get my hair straightened, and not only did the appointment take 3-4 hours (which I've never experienced at a salon when getting my hair straightened, typically it takes around 2) but I ended up with heat damage on my natural hair after the appointment. I knew I smelled hair burning, and I heard the stylist mention not knowing what that smell was. The detangling process was also painful because she detangled from roots to ends with a brush, rather than ends to roots with the conditioner in my hair. I appreciated her taking so long with my hair, but it ended up reverting back to natural three days later due to it misting outside. So, that, plus the heat damage made me pretty upset.
