It''s really hit or miss on the stylists. Some are great, others I feel need to go back to beauty school. One time I went in to get a trim, just to snip off the split ends and the like. I had gotten a pixie cut before and had it for a few years but had decided to try something new so I began working on growing out my hair. I told the stylist this and she pretty much gave me a buzz cut. (My hair had almost been to my shoulders in the longest parts when I went in). Then another time after that I went in and decided to skip a trim for removing damaged ends and just wanted to get a Malibu treatment. it's something I get done monthly because of the water at my house turning my hair orange over time. The stylist ignored that I said I wanted a Malibu when I signed in, and she asked me what I wanted my hair to be cut like. I reminded her that I just wanted the treatment. She suddenly changed from being a friendly stylist to kind of a silent b---. She began to slowly, VERY slowly get ready for the treatment. I had gone in with my roommate who was behind me in line and wanting the same treatment. My friend's stylist got finished with her current customer, had them pay, cleaned up her area, called my friend back, got the treatment stuff out, and was already wetting down my friend's hair and putting the treatment into it by the time my stylist finally got around to having me go to the sink. Then she barely starts wetting my hair before she dramatically exclaimed that I was bleeding and she couldn't work on me. (Spoiler, i wasn't bleeding at all. I have a scar under my hair that you can see if my hair falls the right way. I've had it for years.) but she refused to work with me and sent me away, calling for the next person waiting to get their hair touched up. I think it's safe to assume that she simply had no idea how to do a Malibu treatment and didn't want to admit it. If she had said so I would have gladly waited for the other stylist to take my commission. I left without my treatment for the month. After both these incidents I contacted the company about it and they claimed that they would have the manager of this particular location call me and give me a voucher for a free hair treatment or cut, or something along those lines. Such a call never came so I assume the manager simply doesn't care. I now plan to go to the other location clear across town. I have never had a bad experience at that location. It's just further away from where I live.
