I've been coming here for a few months now. My stylist is Alex. I have a very unique hairstyle and she gets it right every time. She does a great job. Other staff I've been in contact with have been friendly, engaging, and genuine. I highly recommend Tafoya. Also, they sell Aveda products, which is huge for me because no one else in the area does.

I had worst service ever, the stylist don't even know how to color my hair or smooth it out, was a waste of my time and money.

I had a bad experience here and only brought my rating up to 3 stars because they were happy to do whatever it takes to attempt to fix it. I've dyed my hair myself for years with no issues. I had never gotten my hair professionally dyed before, and asked for their recommendation on an all-over color in order to get my hair to a lighter blonde (i'm naturally medium blonde). The stylist insisted on a bleach and tone. Now, i'm not sure if she did it wrong, or i just didn't know what to expect, but it took about 3 hours and turned out yellow. I've never had this problem with box dyes before. I asked them the next day (after i decided i couldn't live with it) to attempt to fix it or for a refund, and they re-dyed it for free. It still wasn't quite better, but what was worse was the damage it did to my hair. My hair started breaking off in the shower in the next couple days and i had to pin my too-short bangs back for months afterwards. Needless to say, i will only be using box dye from now on. I'm happy they were willing to reconcile the issue, but disappointed in the quality of work/knowledge of the employees.

I found this salon by chance after I had tried to go and get a brow wax at one of the box salons. I couldn't get in there and I was in need for an event. I was able to get in at Tafoya. I liked the location. When it was time for my next haircut, I gave them a shot. I've been seeing Alex for about three years, maybe longer. I really like this salon and I am super picky, both in what I want for my style and about what business I give my money to.
