I rate the quality of my haircut with Chrystal to be extremely high: a 5 out of 5. Her skill and attention to detail is the equal or better of stylists who work in much higher-end and expensive salons. I know because I left a higher-end Eden Prairie salon I had been going to for years because Chrystal is simply better at her job.
However, my review reflects my dissatisfaction with the company policy of being solely a walk-in salon. In 2018, having no way to book in advance -- on-line, via an app, text, over the phone -- with a preferred stylist feels like an antiquated business model. Nearly every other business I frequent -- and stay loyal to -- is fighting every day to make it easy to do business with their customers. This FS location makes it difficult: requiring you to call ahead to learn about wait times or simply "show up and wait". Right now, for me -- as much as I like the end product -- it's about a 50/50 proposition of whether the hassle is worth it.
One would think that management could balance the need for some of their clients to book a reservation with a preferred stylist (even if it just 24 hours in advance) while at the same time accommodating those who like to just walk in and wait for the next available stylist.
Bottom line: if you go to this FS, I highly recommend that you ask for Chrystal. Great haircut, great service, outstanding value. But, be aware that she may or may not be there when you arrive (stylists are "cut" when things get slow - happened to me despite calling to check her availability in advance), and you will most likely have to wait to get into the chair.
