I have type 3A thick, curly hair that I have never known what to do with. Past hairdressers have always treated it differently, even going so far as to straighten it before they cut and thinned it. I walked into Mojo Pie Salon not knowing what I needed but knowing that I needed a better cut for my hair. Haley K. was my hairdresser and I left everything up to her with the stipulation that my hair keep its long length and still can be easily braided. Haley went above and beyond in her work and treatment for my hair. She washed, diffused, and when I told her I felt that one side of my hair - where it was the thickest - didn't feel quite right, she was able to interpret what I meant and fixed that side. Unlike past hair dressers, she didn't thin my hair - something she said was inappropriate for my hair type - instead she texturized it with a fantastic cut to where my curls sprang to life. I walked out feeling great. Of course the real test always comes days later when I am left to my own styling devices. Haley gave me knowledge on what I needed to hydrate my curls and keep them healthy when I admitted that I am lazy and prefer to air dry my hair. I'm happy to say that days later I am still getting the same thick, springy curls that I had when I walked out of the salon. Haley gave me the right cut and confidence to accept my big, curly hair and I couldn't be happier.

All of the staff members are extremely polite and talented. The establishment is unique and kept very clean and orderly. Prices are reasonable, the care and services provided are definitely worth every penny. I can get a hair cut anywhere, but I refuse to go anywhere else for style. I've been a patron of Mojo Pie for over a decade now, and I have never received anything less than extraordinary services. They do great things for both women AND men, I highly recommend!
