THE HAIRSTYLISTS NAME IS SHELLYANN AND HE WOMAN IS INSANE-CURRENTLY HARASSING MYCOUSIN NOT ONLY VIA TEXT BUT FINDING HER ON FACEBOOK AND TRYING LIKE THE CLEARLY LOUSY INDIVIDUAL SHE IS. My cousin had an extremely horrific experience with one of the persons who did her hair and is being harassed via text by the woman who basically broke her hair off. My cousin requested absolutely no heat on her hair from booking the appointment. She was able to go there and get her hair done as the lady quoted her an initial price which was much less than she ended up charging her. The woman did absolutely no detangling and like most sheep who don't know how to do kinky hair forced excessive heat onto her hair to DETANGLE ALBEIT HER NOT ASKING FOR IT!! That was the ONE REQUEST. She also was hit on the head by a bottle of conditioner that fell from the cubbard above the wash sink and spoke nothing of it at first. As black women who have natural hair, you don't disadvantage someone like that especially someone who is much younger than you and is studying and or even working at the same time. Do it right or don't do it. I helped my cousin take her twists out only to find excessive heat damage and broken bits of hair lingering all over her hair which was not like that before. SHE paid this woman about $130-140 dollars and traveled from far to get her hair done there thinking she'd comply with the rule. DID NOT DO IT AND BASICALLY CHARGED HER DOUBLE TO BE SLICK BY SAYING SINCE SHE HAD TO DETANGLE HER HAIR BY BLOWING IT OUT (WHICH WAS FORCED UPON HER AND NOT REQUESTED). That's a large price jump from initially telling someone $60-80. Not only that, but my cousin said the amount of smoke coming from her head when this woman did her hair was unbearable as they had to widely open the door as the space is shared by a barber who has a large following and seems to know what he's doing. My cousin sent her a professional text to let her know of what happened to find any resolve and didn't receive a reply until the next day, and didn't bother responding to the text sent back. Not only was she completely unprofessional by response, but she set herself up for a large consumer disappointment. She sent two harassing texts after her initial response hours before because she gave her a deserved one star. Not only is she childish but she thinks an unsatisfied client is her friend. DO NOT GO TO HER. She sending messages about her family who she doesn't know and saying "no weapon formed against me will prosper" instead of apologizing. Completely disgusted and livid and if I were to have been there, I myself would have even spoke up. My cousin reported her to police for the text, and please believe that no one operating a business should ever behave in such a childish and sizing manner. From the fact a bottle dropped on her head and all you said was sorry, she should have sued you for what you don't even have, liberty! Kmt You don't take advantage of people like this just because you see them one way. She's an ugly soul just by the text messages she sent back. Don't don yourself no natural hairdresser if you force someone into heat, don't use heat protectant, hike your prices up as strategy because you don't know how to do hair properly, burn off someone's head, use a blow dryer and comb to "DETANGLE" aka rip someone's hair out. This place has high reviews and my boyfriend goes here to get his haircut by a very kind Jamaican barber who has been doing his hair since he was a kid. I'm embarrassed for them. Avoid her at all costs. There's another hairdresser in there who is petite and very nice that does good hair as she did mine once. But whoever did my cousins hair? A hot, unprofessional mess, full of robbery, harassing sociopath who has too much time on her hands.
