A terrible experience. I made an appointment with Karin or Karen, an older hairdresser with dark short hair, for a body wave and a haircut. Sylist was exceptionally rude, constantly pulling my hair, and snapping rollers on my had and neck. The hair on the rollers were rolled very sloppy. In effect I got no wave at all only some bad crumpling. My hair were extremely dry and tangled, impossible to comb thru. Her attempt to cut my hair was in effect more painful hair pulling and few uneven scissors snaps. Very rude person, I didn’t hear any I’m sorry or thank you on her part. Result of whole experience, horrible. I asked for my money back and some restoring/moisture treatment to my hair. Never heard back from anybody from the salon. After service I went for two haircuts to different salon to cut all the burn hair ends. I’m applying daily leave in conditioner, uderwise I would not be able to comb my hair. It’s impossible to style my hair, my hair look like frizzy, stiff, old broom. Avoid this hairdresser Karin, unless you want her to ruin your hair. please save your hair, time and money. Horrible service!

Very courteous and friendly staff. Always willing to give opinions on hair products and help when you are shopping. Scheduling appointments is always a breeze. I get my hair done with Lauren there who is extremely friendly and listens to what you want. I always leave extremely happy with what I had done. I HIGHLY recommend this salon.

Never again! Charged me $48 for terrible hair cut;. Asked the "stylist" not to make it too short, but with the first clip, I knew she had already cut off too much. Then I have to hear this ignorant woman complain about the immorality of interracial marriages, gays, black people, millennials, etc. Made racial comments that black people get everything for nothing, including free education. I don't know how this Maryanne knows anything about morality or education, since she lacks both. JC Penney must have some long history of this woman's behavior (she is well past retirement age) yet it appears that they tolerate her disgusting behavior. I remained polite through this horrible ordeal and tipped her anyway (my husband said I should have just walked out in the middle of the haircut, and to be honest my hair wouldn't have looked any worse than it does now). This is the tip I walked off with: I will NOT patronize JC Penney (salon, store, etc), will not bring my grandchildren there, will no longer hold JC Penney stock. Thank God for competition, I will go elsewhere.

I dont usually do reviews but its so hard to find a good hair stylist so I figured I would... Went to Jon W today... He was amazing. The entire experience was pleasant. His massaging shampoo was really relaxing. I'm extremely picky and my cut/color came out perfect! Im so happy with my results. Thanks again! Definately request Jon!
