I go to the East Brunswick Great Clips to get trims on my hair in between highlights at my regular salon. I’ve had a good experience here until a few days ago. Had a girl named Melody cut my hair. She insisted on trying to comb through my long curly hair while it was dry prior to washing. When I told her she was ripping hair out of my scalp she became irritated and told me she had to. I told her I would comb through it myself after she was done washing it. She finally agreed after threatening that she might have to take someone else while I comb it because it will take so long. The entire time she washed she huffed and puffed. When I got to her chair she handed me a a regular comb. I then asked for a wide tooth comb since that’s all I have ever been told to use on curly hair. She rolled her eyes and said she provides her own combs and that in her 10 years experience she never had anyone asked for a wide tooth comb. I then just tried to be quiet and have it go as quickly as possible but through the entire cut she kept telling me how I didn’t know what I was talking about and that curly hair should be combed through dry with regular combs. I will never step foot in that place if I see her there because it was by far the worst experience of my life.
