I fell in love at Love Lane Salon. Thought I took a wrong turn when I stepped off the elevator- and landed at a new underground rock and roll coffee bar. The minute I walked in, a cheery wide-eyed brunette literally just stepped out from a vintage pin-up calendar on the wall and handed me an espresso. She ushered me take a seat in the lounge area, which is way cooler than my own living room. The space is replete with bass guitars (which instantly makes this place more awesome than anywhere else, ever), vintage furniture, rock and roll coffee table books, tattoos, and exposed brick. Thought I was in my own amazing dream, except it was real life and better! Was almost sad to go sit in the chair when it was time for my wash and cut. However, John did not disappoint. Gave me much better cut than my former barber whom was nice but lacked the level of care and creativity exhibited at Love Lane. He was not afraid to use more scissors and less buzzer. Can tell these guys take pride in their work and love their environment. Looking forward to my next espresso and haircut.
