Beware going to this salon: I had a bad experience there. I have tried to contact the store directly, and no one is contacting me back. So I didn’t want to go leave reviews until I spoke to someone, but it’s just irritating me more.
I will try to keep it short and sweet.
A friend and I went for a color and cut. We had a 2:45 appt on a Sunday. One hairdresser worked on both of us, which in hindsight was one of the problems that occurred. My friend wanted a trim and complicated color job, and I wanted a partial red dye and Haircut. I had a photo of the type of color saturation and color scheme, I’m flexible I was okay if it wasn’t the exact color. But I basically got red highlights for $200. I told her I had some white hairs at my temple that I wanted her to bleach and dye instead of leave dark. So she UPCHARGES me for a root touch up. My roots weren’t white. They love upcharging, FYI. She then started my friend’s hair, and the hairdresser was honest that it wouldn’t be done in one session and would take two. Okay fine. We were quoted about $130 (“plus you’ll get first time salon user discounts!”) prior to the appt. I’m fine with it going over that amount, but it was $200 for me and $267 for my friend. My friend left with brassy highlights and green underneath. It was awful. I specifically asked the hairdresser twice what she was going to look like when she left. She said it would be half processed and she would look very presentable. Wrong. My friend wanted a gray silver color with black roots. She already had black roots.
It was unprofessional, too. Now I go back and connect the dots and the whole thing was a bad experience. Hairdressers as a group we’re making fun of cost cutters and box dye. Then our hairdresser kept lecturing my friend about her box dye. Her hair was shinier and nicer looking coming in than leaving, hello?!
My cut seemed nice until I styled it this past week and there’s uneven pieces all over. I honestly don’t know what this girl did. But she sure was happy she Cha-Ching rang up over $450 for us. I’ve washed my hair twice in over two weeks and you can’t even see the color anymore. I’m so disappointed I’m telling whomever will listen. Especially since I’ve emailed twice and heard nothing! If you have a regular hair stylist, or want to not go broke for bad service, don’t try Ulta! I don’t even want to g back there to buy makeup that’s how bitter I am.
