My hair is natural and considered 4c texture. My hair was in very good condition and get my hair blow dried and flat ironed just to get a trim with my usual hair stylist. Applying heat to my hair has not resulted in me having heat damage. Usually, my hair is worn in it's natural coily state and I rarely use heat in my hair. I went to this salon for the first time Dec 2017. I decided to tag along with my friend since she goes there to get her hair done and I needed a trim. Plus, she trusted that they were very good with hair care. She was wrong. I had to wash my hair 2 days later since my scalp was irritating me. It's likely from the excessive heat from the blow dryer. When I wet my hair, it is stringy and would not revert to its natural coily state. Also, my hair is now very thin from the way they handled my hair with the constant brushing. My hair was not thin when I got my hair blow dried and flat ironed prior. I section my hair to wash it. My sections always feels thick in my hands when I washed my hair, but this time it was of less density. Also, I told the hair stylist (owner's daughter) to stop placing the flat iron through my hair so many time since my hair looked straightened from the blow dry. However, this woman would not listen. Her and the owner continued to reply my hair would revert back. They have customers with natural hair and it always reverts back. I would never go to this salon ever again nor recommend them. My hair has serious heat damage from one salon visit. I have not been to a Dominican salon in years and this will be the last time. Never again. The owner's daughter states she has done hair for celebrities. After this experience, I don't believe it.
