I started seeing Marie years ago when I had a Gilt certificate--I had been going to different places every few months in an effort to keep my haircuts affordable. I went to most of the expensive salons in the city, and felt like they were all pretty much the same. Then I went to Karla. My hair had never looked better, and that was the end of my haircut discounts, and it is so worth it. Marie is lovely, sweet, and super-talented. She listens closely and spends a lot of time with you, and makes your hair better. She even tamed my cowlick!

I am a big fan of this place. My stylist, Marie-Karla is the absolute best . I followed her here from another Salon and Not only do I get a world class haircut , but I also find her nature and methods of styling to be utterly relaxing and calming. An amazing cut with a nice dose of relaxation! WhAt could be better! Keep on keeping on Marie-Karla and thanks for the superb service!

Marie Karla has been my hairstylist for over a decade and she is so incredibly talented. I have referred her to many people, some of whom travel from out of town just to get a haircut with her. She is also such a lovely person! I can’t recommend her enough.

I've been going to Marie Karla for cuts for 11+ years, even during periods of time when I wasn't living in NYC full-time. I adore her, and recommend her thoughtful attention and expertise without hesitation. In fact, although I'm moving to Berkeley, CA next week, I still plan to see Marie during visits to NYC when possible.
