I went in for a consultation to see if my wavy, highlighted hair could have a “body wave”. The women I spoke to said that that would be fine. I stressed many times “NOT A PERM”. I wanted loose waves. As soon as she took the rods out and it started to dry,I knew that not only was this an 80’s perm, but my hair was severely damaged. I left in shock, got in my car and burst into tears. The women who did it kept saying how great it looked! I went home showed my friend and daughter the damage. Theyre were patches where there was NO HAIR and let them feel my dry painful scalp. I immediately went back and the owner did everything she could. A deep conditioning, a cut, gave me products for damaged hair. But weeks later my hair still is dry, damaged and looks awful. So today I reluctantly have to cut off the hair I have been growing out for over a year. I know it’s just hair but,I’m so disappointed and upset. If my sons name shows up on this review it’s because it’s his s iPad. I don’t usually do this but I’m hoping to save someone else from this mess.
