I've had men's cuts from a few of the stylists here and never been disappointed. Everyone is friendly and welcoming with a family-like atmosphere. I generally get cuts from Jason and would recommend. Believe most women's salon services are available such as color/highlights etc. Timeslots vary by stylist but I've appreciated being able to get some slots later in the day to be able to make it in after work. They have an established set of professionals so you can count on consistently good work and being able to return to the same stylist if you enjoy your haircut. The decor is nice, kind of antique chic/hipster. Cuts include a shampoo. Credit cards are accepted although I believe there is a cash discount. They do not generally answer the phone immediately when you call due to giving full attention to clients but they DO call back so make sure to leave your number in a voice mail. There is not a lot of parking but there are generally free street spots a block or two north of Michael Avery on South Ave if needed.

I have been getting my hair done by Michelle for the past three years. To say that she is awesome is an understatement. In my experience, she is incredibly intuitive about what I am looking for. I show her a picture once, describe the color and cut I am hoping for, and she goes above and beyond what I had imagined. In addition to her incredible talent as a stylist, she is also personable, kind, and professional. Michelle is a stylist who makes her clients feel comfortable taking risks with their hair or playing it safe, and she will always ensure you leave feeling like a million bucks.
