Scott is an incredible artist! I was so frustrated with my hair and Scott gave it new life. Here's what happens when you walk into his salon -- he listens! He wants to know about you and your hair. He made me feel great from the moment I walked in. He cut it curl by curl, turning it this way and that, from side to side, even upside down, to make sure it was right from top to bottom and all over. I have *never* had a stylist take that kind of care with this thick mop. Then he cleansed it, making sure I got my hands into it so I could tell exactly what it should feel like. Finally, he taught me how to handle it and apply products, talking me through doing it myself and making sure it was all written down for me. I left completely confident that I could make it look this good at home. And WOW! I had no idea my hair was this curly!!! It looks AMAZING. Gorgeous! And it's not stiff or sticky or anything. I had to run some errands on the way home and I was really bummed because it was windy. I was afraid it would be a mess again before my husband even got to see it. I got back in the car and anxiously peered in the mirror. It was a little tousled, but it wasn't a bit frizzy -- it was adorable! Whew. My family was amazed when I got home. I know it seems expensive, but Scott is SO worth it. Just go. Go now! He's not one of these guys that does something you can never repeat at home so you have to keep coming back all the time. He makes it so you can handle your hair on your own, just returning a couple of times a year. With my life as an author and speaker traveling all over the place, that's critical. Best of all is that Scott is a super-nice guy. He was fun to talk to and really seemed to enjoy working with my hair -- you know how rare an experience that is for a curly girl at any salon! Scott Musgrave is the best at curly cuts and you will be so glad you put yourself in his hands!

Scott is kind, patient, genuine, intelligent and helpful. I have struggled with my curly hair for my entire life. It had gotten to the point where it was just a burden and I was wearing it up every single day. I absolutely hated my hair, I felt as if I always looked ‘unkempt’ and I often ended up in tears when trying to style and tame my hair. When I saw Scott, he reassured me that my hair would look entirely different by the end of the appointment and I have to say, I didn’t believe him. But after a two hour session, my hair was BEAUTIFUL! My hair didn’t even look like my hair anymore. It was so soft, the curls were so defined and there was little to no frizz. I’m telling you, Scott is a miracle worker. I had a few questions about products after my appointment so I texted him and he was more than willing to answer my questions. Scott’s passion for helping women embrace their curly hair and teaching them how to care for/style it shows in every aspect of his business. The personalized method he taught me has given ‘new life’ to my hair and given me a confidence I’ve never had before. What’s even better - I’ve made a new friend! Looking forward to watching Scott’s journey as he changes curly headed lives across the world!

There are some people that can take an already existing method and market the heck out of it like it’s their own method, with little merit or quality behind their work. Scott is a master at finding a gimmicky angle and spinning it way beyond his capacity and skill. His hair styling was awful and NOTHING AT ALL like the photos he provides as examples of ‘his’ work. I didn’t learn anything different than what I have at other dry cutting salons or on the internet. His communication is unprofessional and offensive. I would not wish anyone to experience him. This guy is all smoke and mirrors and an outright disrespectful human.

Zero stars and two thumbs down. Never replied to my texts with photos of my hair after replying to my comment on social media saying that was accepting new clients. He clearly has plenty of time to do so according to his Instagram feed. He must not need business very badly. I give one star because his videos and website basically tell you what you need to know, what products to buy and how to apply them. Was looking forward to trying the cubist cut. Oh well, I will find another devacurl stylist!
