Awful! Never again - ever!
We made an appointment for PROM two months ago. Hair and make-up. We were very clear about what we needed.
THE DAY BEFORE PROM, the "stylist" texts my daughter and asks if she can move the appointment to 2.5 hours earlier that day. She has "something else to do" and she has to leave early. Do I have a choice? There are SEVERAL proms this weekend, and there is no WAY I am going to be able to get another appointment. OK, well, this messes up the entire timeline for the evening, but we make adjustments. I am NOT happy. This is not a "regular" haircut. It's PROM!
So we show up to another salon because this is where we called two months ago to make the appointment. SURPRISE! That salon is closed! Our daughter quickly texts the stylist to ask what is going on. Oh, she moved! It might have been nice to mention that.
So we race over to "Textures" and somehow manage to make it on time to our appointment. She does our daughter's hair, but no makeup. My husband asks for the makeup. "You didn't make an appointment for makeup - just hair" REALLY?! FOR PROM? And are you sure, because you forgot to mention that you'd CHANGED SALONS, so maybe you forgot the details of this appointment?
But there is more! She acts like she is doing us a huge favor by "Squeezing us in" for the makeup. It takes forever - but it does look nice. We finally get to the counter to pay, and they don't take credit or debit. Again, something you might want to tell your customers.
My husband races to get cash. The cost for formal and hair and make up was VERY reasonable! Even more so after we kept her entire tip.
Don't trust them to be professional! Don't trust your special day to this salon! They don't get it.
