We usually go to the Great Clips location on Airport Road but since we were in Hendersonville my husband and I assumed it was going to be ok if we took our son for a much needed haircut at the Spartanburg Highway location. We checked in online and I dropped my husband and my son off to wait and I went and ran an errand downtown. Upon returning they walked out to our vehicle with my son having his hood up on the hoodie he was wearing so I couldn’t see the haircut he received. We continued on our way back home and my husband made a comment about the stylist not being happy to be there. I asked why, my husband said that no one was happy there, you could tell because they were very curt with customers. My son stated that the stylist Kimberly “grabbed my hair really hard”, he said he didn’t say anything but made a face. Our son is not a tender headed child but she must have grabbed his hair pretty hard for him to mention it. The haircut that my son received today is not a haircut I would want advertising my place of business. Kimberly, asked him what he wanted and he told her that he wanted the sides trimmed down and blended with the top of his hair. So what he’s been left with is shaved sides and a flat top. He has a double crown in the back of his head which causes his hair to stick straight up right at the top. I understand that she was giving him what he wanted but he’s 10. The first thing she should have done was consult with my husband about the haircut before just cutting his hair and letting him leave with a 1990’s hairdo. To say we’re disappointed is an understatement. We paid $14.00 plus tip for an awful haircut and our son could have went to a barbershop for the price we paid. We definitely won’t be back to this location ever again.
