I was pretty ecstatic to see the great tanning deal this Salon has going on. 20 tans for $55. I called up the salon where Tami took my card info right away. Charged me $62.50. I dropped in for a quick tan on a Saturday where her daughter Hannah was working solo. She was helpful and set me up to go in. Their max time was 15 minutes. As I had asked how new their bulbs were, she said very new. I requested to be set for 13 mins and got out a few minutes early. The bed had left multiple large white lines the size of the tanning bulbs from my shoulders to down my calves. I am an avid tanner and go often, have for years. The point is, this bed was not for me, as I had never had this happen to me in all my tanning experience, no matter how long it had been since I last tanned. If you research the reason for thsee bulb lines, the professionals will tell you it is cheap bulbs used in the bed. I decided to ask Tami for my money back. Politely might I add, letting her know that this bed was not for me. She did not return my call. I called back and her daughter Hannah directed me to text her. Where she proceeded to harass me in 200+ word texts about the request for a refund and argue about how unfair it was. And that I chose the time that I went in. I remained professional in my conversation and had to hold back responding to the immature ranting. After multiple humiliating texts were exchanged she agreed to refund me $49. And would only let me come in after hours at her convincence to get my money back. When I presented to her salon she would not talk to me nor look at me, AND she had to get the money from the client she was finishing up on as she did not have it on her. I do however, take full responsibility for choosing to go cheap and buy into her deal. That is a lesson I learned the hard way.
The point of these reviews are my hope, to not have this appalling situation happen to anyone else. Being such a small town and a new business, I cannot imagine this salon can afford to have such unprofessional, uncaring and ugly customer service. I have lived in this town for many years and have never, not once been treated so unprofessionally or in such a humiliating way. If she had not refunded my money I would have just lost it, and because she made the interaction so unbearable it would be uncomfortable to use any of her other services in the future.
To the staff of Simply Beautiful salon: I highly recommend ordering a customer service manual and reading it cover to cover. Then practice it.
