I just drove down from Portland to meet with Ana for a wedding makeup trial. I scheduled the appointment weeks ago, and even texted her when I was on my way down to apologize for running a little late because of the traffic from Portland- a two hour drive. When I walked into the studio she tells me that she spaced and didn’t let me know that another bride already booked her for my wedding date.
This was simply the most inconsiderate and unprofessional way to handle this. She offered to do my make up for free now to compensate for the 2 hr drive down, but honestly why would I want that? The only reason I drove down was to see what it would look like for the wedding day.
I now have to drive two hours back home. She did not offer to compensate for gas or time. I’m currently studying for a financial licensing exam and planning my wedding and I lost 4 hrs of time because she “spaced.”
I’m not one to write negative reviews but I do think it’s important and valuable for feedback in situations like this. I was honestly so disappointed in this experience and the way that it was handled. I understand that mistakes happen but I did not feel that this situation was handled appropriately for a business.
