I have had two repulsive experiences at Classic Shears.
Unpleasant Experience No. 1:
When getting my hair done at this Salon, I specifically asked for a chocolate brown, with blonde highlights weaved into the crown naturally. What I received was far from what I asked for. Instead, I did get brown, but the blonde I had asked for was only in one area. I ended up looking like a skunk. While sitting in the chair, I informed the hairstylist of my concerns, and was told to "just part it differently and go home and play with it." I ended up contacting her to inform her yet again of my concerns and she informed me that if she were going to fix it, she'd charge me full price. Which happened to be $100.00. I was not agreeable to this, as I had just paid $100.00, and could not afford to pay another. She was very unreasonable with the price to fix my color, and seemed as though she didn't care what she had done, but only cared to get paid.
Unpleasant Experience No. 2:
Giving Classic Shears a second shot a year or so later, I scheduled a nail appointment. While showing up to this appointment, I felt very uninvited from the moment I walked through the doors. My name was called in an unpleasant manner as if they recognized me from experience No. 1. While at the nail station with the nail tech, I explained that I had two nail shapes (straight and oval) I was deciding on, and asked for her input. She didn't have much to say, except that I should do straight, I agreed, explained that I normally get them longer, but didn't want them so long this time around, but did not want them short either, as I feel short nails make my hands look stubby. While free handing the acrylics, I noticed they were not at a length I had wanted, I again expressed my concerns. She snapped back with a comment that she "did not have time for this" As far as I was concerned, she did make time for this, as I scheduled an appointment a week in advance. I again said I didn't like the length, and was told she would finish filing, and I could leave. I agreed and explained that I would not be paying for unfinished nails, and something I didn't ask for. I was told I would be charged $30.00 to walk out with them only filed. I was not agreeable to this. She then told me that she paint them and still charge me $30.00. I agreed and sat there in silence while she finished. At the end, I was asked "do us all a favor, and not return to the Salon."
I would not recommend this Salon, with my previous experiences.
