I get my hair cut regularly by Teresa, owner of Modern Styles Salon. Am always pleased by the cut, whether it is a super short summer cut or a longer version for the winter. She has a wonderful group of stylists that she mentors, molding them into to conscientious confident employees. I am always greeted as soon as I enter the shop. They make sure I am comfortable, offering a water or coffee if I have to wait for Teresa to take care of me. The shop is clean and well organized. Teresa enjoys when I want her to experiment with my hair to have a color accent for a birthday celebration....purple is the way to go! **Update** just got Teal color added this time! I heartily recommend Modern Styles Salon, a friendly place to be pampered and styled. Have recommended Teresa to my friends and neighbors!

My daughter wanted to get her done for her Birthday today. She called several salons including this one for prices. She had tgeme on speaker phone. And the lady that answered the phone told her it would be $15 for the cut and $40 for the style of color she wants. So i told her thats a great price you should do it! My daughter was humiliated! The lady started the job then tells the. Its $180!!!!! She has hair dye all over her face and neck!!! Her ears.. I was at work when she. Went .. But no way would i havelet her pay for getting her hair done and leaving with dye all over her like this. No way would that lady have been paid a $180 when she told her it would be $55!!!! I would hsve had her aunt do it for a lot less!! But she wanted the salon treatment for her birthday! !!! This is ridiculous! !!!

Great staff! I was a last minute work in and it was not easy to find someone on such short notice! Nancy did my hair and she did a phenomenal job! I have very very thick hair (took about 5+ hours and it's mid back length) and paid $180 (ish) for (grey coverage) highlights and lowlights, not including tip. I'm not a chatty person and Nancy seemed fine with that, which put me at ease. The only negative for me was when I called back to have my roots touched up they said it would be $90+. I don't feel I should have to pay over half of what my entire head cost to color, for just my roots. I understand they have a business to run, that just seemed a bit too much to spend on a root touch up so I ended up going to a friend who is a hairdresser to have it done. If it weren't for that I would have given them an over the top review!

It is a great experience. They care about you as a person and not just a salon. When you get your hair washed they give you a head and neck massage with a hot towel on your face....wonderful. When you get color you get a hand wax job done while your hair is processing. Its always a great experience. Everyone there is wonderful. Teresa does my hair and I've watched the rest of them work and they all are great.
