I have been a client at this establishment for approximately four years. My hairstylist Demetria is AMAZING! She listens to my concerns about my hair and provides sound advice that is in my best interest. She is punctual and dependable--qualities that are appreciated in a business of service. All the other hairstylists and the owner are cordial, which makes for a pleasant atmosphere and positive experience! As long as my hair is natural and my hairstylist is there, I will remain a client of Nubian Designs.â˜ºâ˜ºâ˜ºâ˜ºâ˜º

They did a great job on my niece's hair. It took a long time, 5 hours, but they managed to get her to keep still. They played kid friendly movies on the TV while she was sitting in the chair and let her get up for breaks to stretch and move around when she needed it. If you're looking for a natural and protective hairstyle for yourself or your young one I highly suggest Nubian Designs.

Had a appointment which was scheduled in advance for a color and style, only to get there early and wait an half hour after my scheduled time. I was then told "Oh I'm going to have to schedule you for a color consultation, then I can do it next week" Like we could have been done that! They sent two messages confirming the appointment for a color and style. Did they ever think to inform me in advance about a consult?? Nope......... This experience not only was a waste of time but I found it to be very unprofessional!

My locs were started by Chavala, one of the most positive sisters I know. Here I am almost 9 years later, a few moves to different states, and I'm still rocking with this sista and her salon. Why? Her maintenance is unsurpassed and the atmosphere is great for the soul. If you want healthy natural hair and hair care instructions from experts, check out Chavala or any of the ladies at Nubian Designs. And they're kid friendly!
