I decided to take a chance and try this place out. Although the people here are friendly at the end of the day I have to leave a review solely on the condition of my hair from my first appt to the last.
I wanted to lighten my hair it seemed like everywhere I went they just weren’t getting it light enough for my tatste. (Which I understand why now.) I was happy when it was lightened the first time but questioned in my own mind when she was overlapping bleach treatments. Unfortunately, I laid my trust in her and now after a handful of times of going my hair is breaking off, is stretchy, thin and completely damaged from root to tip. The integrity of my hair is shot. I cannot even get a wide tooth comb through it anymore. Now when I pull my hair back I have little hairs all around my face that look like fried wires sticking straight up from damage. This is very upsetting since I’ve had very thick healthy hair my whole life. The damage is so severe that I actually have breakage that looks like layers. As a woman my hair is important and I don’t even want to go out in public anymore.
I pay a professional for a service but also for their guidance and knowledge. I definitely don’t know much about hair but that’s what you go to a salon for right? Instead of making money off the bleaching treatments ($80 to $95 each time) I feel like the stylist should have said if I do this anymore it will cause damage. Ending point- I feel like I was only a price tag not a client. After the cost of the services and tips I’m now in the hole over $400 for nothing.
Just be careful and mindful that these are chemicals and can damage your hair if not used properly. Now- I have about 3 inches of dark roots and blonde ends and it’s SO SO severely damaged there isn’t much that can be done. Since going here I have attended another salon and they were very surprised a licensed cosmetologist would have put me in this position. If a stylist tells you no that’s not a good idea trust in them they are doing what they should be doing; saving you grief. I regret my decision to go here only because now I can do nothing with my hair and I now have to pay to fix this mess, thank goodness it grows I guess!
