GIRLS:
I'm a college freshman and I'm female. The salon I normally go to closed, so I needed another place closer to campus to get the job done.
The place: I should have turned around and walked out as soon as I saw the place.
It was dark, dirty, things were stacked everywhere, nothing was tidy at all, their bathroom was absolutely disgusting, hair was everywhere.
Sara: Other reviews said she fast, I say that she is careless. I walked in at 11:35ish and A man showed up shortly after and he had an 11:40 appointment with her.I had asked her when I walked in if she had time for me and she said yes. I asked her if she was going to shampoo my hair or if it cost extra (I came in with 2 day old hair, wanting to get a wash) and she said it was $5 extra, and I said, "That's fine." & she said, "I'm just going to wet it down." ...I just expressed the want for a shampoo. I believe she was in such a rush to get me out, she didn't want to do it.
During the cut: So she started spraying it down, but she didn't even get the curls I styled that morning out of my hair, and she was very fast, careless, and the result was that it was extremely choppy looking. She got so much hair in my eyes, and was very amateur overall. She did not ask any questions about my hair at all. Every time I went to talk, she would talk over me. It was very rude.
For men, she probably does a fine job just running over their hair with clippers.
Girls, I know that it's cheap, but the whole point of getting your hair cut is so that it will be healthier and look nicer. She didn't even trim all of my layers, so some old were mixed in with "new" and it was terrible. If you don't have layers and just have one length, straight across hair, it probably won't matter. But if you're used to having a good experience with a hairdresser who cares, then look elsewhere.
