Terrible. I have been using Aveda for 10 years, I know there are standards, which is why I researched for one on the Aveda site. I was headed to OK from Lubbock to see family and decided to stop in Amarillo on the way. I called in advance, like a month, to get a color and cut. I am very picky with my hair, I have had it messed up before by people with lots of experience. I have/ had lots of hair and it is curly/wavy. Told them when I called that I needed someone that was good with my kind of hair. She took two and a half hours, had to leave the salon with wet hair because it took so long (an hour just to comb/brush out my hair), she cut it wet so I was skeptical to begin with, but didn't have time for her to take another hour to dry it. I got to OK and it was finally dry and I was horrified. She butchered my hair. took a big chunk out of the back, what she thought was layering, The color is "eh" not what I asked for, I get the same thing every time I get my hair done, it was not natural, but chunky, and I have a dark on the bottom layer which sticks out like a sore thumb now with the chunk of hair taken from the back. I can't wear it down at all and it is thin.
Come to find the girl they had doing my hair is a student and only has been there 3 months... THAT IS NOT AVEDA STANDARDS!!! I would have never let her touch my head if I knew that from the git go. She was a sweet girl but not experienced.
They refuse to refund the $102. They want me to drive back (two hours and $100 in gas) for them to try and "fix" it. Just ridiculous!!
