The good: unbeatable location, very clean shop, nice employees, interesting decor and layout. They were very careful about my upper ear piercings after I pointed them out. Most hairdressers are very rough with these, so this is a huge plus. Also they didn't talk your ear off, but would make conversation if you wanted it. It was a welcoming atmosphere without the clique-y gossip between hairdressers you usually find in a hair salon. Everyone complements your hair when it's finished, which is nice.
The bad: Like every hairdresser on the planet, talked me out of what I wanted (not hard because hair people make me anxious) and I hate, hate, hate what I ended up with. I have never cried about a haircut/dye until this one. I don't recall being asked how I wanted to cut it before we started the dying process it would have really changed the plan. We ended up dying the hair I originally wanted to cut off and I felt too bad about it once we started the dying process to tell her. Total waste of 3 hours and $200. Also you can't tip on the credit card, which is ridiculous. No one carries cash or checks anymore, get with the times.
Overall: Probably fine as long as you carry cash and are very vocal about what you want. Good for people who want to do conservative things with their hair, not people who want to try new and drastic things.
