I had an appointment at the eyebrow bar, after waiting for 20 minutes for staff to finish with other clients and not being acknowledged by a single staff member I called another salon in the area (while standing at the brow bar) and was able to get in same day. I understand running behind but at least acknowledge waiting customers. Don't waste your time go elsewhere.

First and last time at that store. I was the only one in the store and still neither of the cashiers asked if I needed assistance. Yes my makeup looked nice(THAT DAY), but that doesn't mean I don't need any help. Customer service is at an all time low. However, I was glad to see a nice selection for a person of color.

Horrible Customer Service. Couldn't help but feel I wasn't properly helped because staff assumed I was a thief. I recently bought a Tarte foundation I did get a couple shades warmer then my usual color (planning to tan for a event, plans fell thru) I brought in the foundation still in original box never opened. I wanted to switch to my original color I did misplace my receipt but never thought it was a big deal seeing I didn't want a refund but just get my correct color. I was helped by a cashier and everything was fine until the manager came to approve the transaction. She completely refused to help me. She said all she could do was issue me a refund for $0.01!!! A penny I thought she was joking it was so ridiculous. I explained that I wasn't interested in a refund i just want to get my correct shade & she repeated that "again without a receipt that is all I can do for you". I asked couldn't she look up my purchases with my phone number seeing as I am rewards member she refused and said she can't without the original receipt. I've always heard good things about Ultas return policy and expected so much more. I've spent a quarter of what I spent in Ulta in a Walgreen's and ive been able to exchange a Mascara that I did open and did try without a problem. I have called federal way ulta and asked if I can exchange with no receipt and they said with my phone number or Email I can. 1 of 2 things happened here she wasn't interested in helping me because of who I am or she assumed I was a thief and I wanted to try and pull one over on her. Either is unacceptable I will be calling corporate and that was the last Ulta will see of my hard earned $.

Came into the store to help my friend find beauty products, at first this one lady was nice helpful asking if we needed help, denied of course because we knew what we were doing. Staff kept coming up to us asking if we needed help, kept saying no. Then the same lady from the beginning gave me a bag which was nice my hands were full, but then they decided to take my friends and mines bag, to hold at the front and kept following us around, and taking everything that we were picking up and taking it to the front. I noticed that they were doing this to just us, Two African Americans, of course. Even the cashier was saying to keep our stuff in the front. And they were whispering about us, right in front of us ! No one else was being followed around or anything. I don’t know why they thought we were trying to steal, we didn’t even have big purses, my friend didn’t even have a purse and I had my tiny Kate spade. The staff made sure to stereotype us and make us feel welcomed, thanks for that.

This store gave me an awful experience and I'll definitely stick with Sephora. None of the associates know how to communicate with each other. The woman who helped me color match rushed me because she was helping a woman before me. So I'm not sure why she even helped me to begin with instead of getting someone free. I told her I wanted full coverage and she kept insisting I didn't need it. So I was given a Mac foundation that doesn't cover my skin well. I have to layer it to get any coverage and feel I totally wasted money on the product.
