As soon as I walked in for my appointment, she asked if she could reschedule me. I couldn't reschedule, so we proceeded with a haircut. As I was telling her what I wanted, she was condescending and imposed her opinion. We went back and forth for a few minutes deciding on what to do, and it sort of felt like we were fighting. I should have left then, but for some reason didn't. She wouldn't accept my wishes, and just said we would take the cut slow and one step at a time. This did not happen and she ended up doing what she wanted with my hair. I went back the next day to tell her I was unhappy with the cut and she offered to give me a refund. Honestly, she was nice and there were aspects of the cut that were well done (she did a great job thinning it out and giving it texture), but it was not what I wanted and there were parts of the cut that were not right for my face, which I knew before hand as I've had this face my whole life. I didn't know if I should leave a review as I delivered my complaint in person, but after reading other people's reviews I thought I should put my experience out there to validate other similar experiences. If you don't know what you want done with your hair, Dyan might do a good job. If you do know what you want done with your hair, I'd go somewhere else.

Had a 10:00 appt scheduled four days before we flew down from Alaska to do my hair for my wedding. When I arrived the doors were closed, so I called, she picked up sounding sleepy and said she forgot to write it down, and could she come in in a couple hours. I was getting married in 4 hours I couldn’t wait and there was no apology or anything. I Ended up doing my own hair for the wedding.

This is my first time ever getting my haircut in Bellingham. And I am extremely satisfied that I chose Eva salon to go to. Dyan was amazing! I completely trusted her with my hair knowing that something needed to be done since it was so damaged and she did awesome. Not to mention the scalp massage/wash was a special treat that at NO point was too rough like I've read in some other reviews. The hair cut turned out great, but what's even better is the customer service! Dyan was so easy to talk to and so friendly! and not to mention the overall atmosphere of the salon was the best out of any salon I've been too. And the cutie dogs makes it just that much better!

My poor mom called me crying after she got a haircut here. She asked for a cut, color, highlight and to have her hair thinned with the thinning shears NOT the thinning razor. The lady didn’t color or highlight her hair, went straight to washing it and didn’t use conditioner (which my mom’s hair needs). She took her back to the chair and used the razor all over her hair. She didn’t even cut it!!!! So now my moms hair is SUPER frizzy from the razor and has weird layers. My mom then went home and now has to go get it fixed somewhere else. This lady does not listen to her customers. Do not go here. She doesn’t know how do hair. She was even asking my mom how to straighten her hair.

Walked in asking about getting my hair lightened, I told the man at the desk I wanted my hair trimmed and my hair lightened. He couldn't understand me even though I said it at least 5 times. the woman working on someone's hair came up to me and put her hands in my hair and said it's too damaged and there's nothing she could do for me and walked off. I felt angry that they completely dismissed that I wanted my hair trimmed but in all honesty having someone walk up and put their hands in my hair without a word was enough to make me not want her to touch me again. Went to another salon and trimmed my dead ends off and told me my hair was damaged at the ends, but they were CUT OFF, the rest of my hair was completely fine to be lightened.
