I am having the worst regret in my life for going to this salon for permanent hair straightening treatment. Instead of having straight hair my hair is now wired, bunched up, distressed and completely damaged. This salon also has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Tina, the owner, instead of handling this unsatisfied customer said she was done me. And that is how she takes care of her customers.
I have had permanent hair straightening so I know this treatment very well. I wanted to save a little bit of money so I decided to give this salon a try since it's cheaper than the competition and it's closer to our home. And now I am regretting this decision. I paid $240 for the treatment and hair cut $18 and even gave $10 tip. So overall, I paid $268 only to get the worst service - both treatment and customer service.
After doing my research and consulting some experienced hairstylists, what happened was Tina, the owner and the hairstylist who did the treatment, left the activator for too long and over processed my hair. Hence, the bunched up, kinked, wiry hair. Â My scalp is also itchy and that means she applied the chemicals on my scalp. In retrospect, while she was doing my hair she was also talking to her consultant (based on their conversation) and an ADT technician as they are in the middle of moving to a new location. So she was not really focused on the hair treatment she was doing on me. Also, Kimi, her assistant had to take over and iron my hair because Tina had to attend to her consultant. This take over caused mechanical bend on my hair as she must have applied a different ironing tension on my hair vs that of Tina's.
I let Tina know that she over processed my hair and even went there in person so she could check it. But she was in complete denial of the damage and she said she did nothing wrong after all she said she's been a hairstylists for many many years. Her solution was to shampoo and blow dry my hair so she could evaluate it. But if she claimed that she's an expert, she would be able to evaluate right away without the need of washing my hair. She expressed that I might have done something at home so she wanted to shampoo it (hint: passing the blame to the customer). I said, I just shampooed and conditioned my hair as usual and let it dry. So this is the current state of my hair and that's how it's gonna look everyday. There was no sense for her to shampoo and blow dry my hair as again if she was an expert in this thing, she would be able to evaluate the problem point blank. Since she was persistent on washing my hair, I asked her a hypothetical question: So will you be at my home everyday and/or do I need to come here everyday so you could shampoo and blow dry my hair for me to get the intended result? Anyway, I knew she's never gonna admit her fault and incompetence even if she did wash and dry my hair. She ended the discussion by saying "if you don't want to wash your hair, then we are done with you". Â Gosh, I was taken a back and could not reply for a moment because I mean she's the owner and that's how she treats her customers? I also haven't gotten such customer service from all the countries I've been to. Does she know she operates her business in the US where customer service is top notch and customer satisfaction is always guaranteed 100%? She didn't even offer anything to resolve the issue and at the very least refund me the money since no further treatment can be done to repair my newly treated hair.Â
I am writing this so other people who are doing their research on this salon can be informed. Go to a reputable salon and save yourself troubles. This salon promises, as what they stated on their website, 100% customer satisfaction and 100% undivided attention. Well, this was the exact opposite of my experience.  Obviously, it's just all talk from them.  Never will I ever go back to cheap, the opposite of "Classy", salons like this. You get what you pay for.
