I booked for “vibrant hair” 1.5 weeks before my appointment where I write in the notes I want lavender hair. Less than 24 hours before my appointment my stylist calls me and says they’re usually is a consultation prior to getting your hair dyed with vibrant colors, for $45. I told her I selected the option for vibrant hair, and if that wasn’t an option why was it available to book? I offered to come in that day or send photos of my hair so she could get a better idea on what she was working with for my appointment the next day. She agreed, I sent the photos over to the number that she called me on and got no reply. Day of my appointment 30 minutes prior I got a text saying I got your photo so I guess I’ll see you at 10. Show up at my allotted time, stylist was late. She still had to open up the shop. When I was let in and sat in the chair someone else came in (She should have locked the door behind me if she was going to be the only stylist) However she helped other customer in scheduling an appointment, and then the phone rang. She picked up the phone and answered, helping the person on the phone. 1040 rolls around and I am finally being seen, we talk about my hair and what I want it to look like. We go back-and-forth pondering different colors but essentially land on two that would be acceptable. She had pre-mixed some options and we picked two that are my favorite I’d be OK with either of those. She then tells me she has to go to the store to buy the hair color. Now, I think since I said I wanted my hair to be lavender 1.5 weeks ago in my notes they would’ve purchased colors in that color scheme. Regardless, I’m on a time crunch because I’m leaving the state for a remote summer job in two days. So I let her close up the salon and drive to the Store to buy the appropriate hair dye. 1130 rolls around she’s back at the salon & by 12 we are starting on my hair. Lightens, sit in processing chair, wash hair out, put dye on, wash hair out, dry hair. What I asked for and what I got were not even on the same spectrum. She asks my opinion and I’m honest that isn’t what we discussed. She offers to fix it, but not today. Well, I’m leaving remember? So she takes off $50 from the “additional color” as a way to compensate for my hair wanting to make me cry. I get up, put my hair in a pony and stuff it in my jacket, pay her a little under $300(including 10% tip b/c I don’t want to be a complete jerk), leave at 4:45 and then cry. Honestly the $50 she knocked off is going to by the box hair dye I now have to use because I don’t have any time to see a new stylist. That’s only if I have the time because I will be so mortified and embarrassed if I have to wear this all summer. This is my first time with fashion hair and I am mortified that I paid $300 for this and waited this long to get it done. Professionalism: poor. Technique=poor
I attached two photos of the two colors we agreed would be okay and what we wanted to look like and then the final result. Honestly the only way to make this right would be a complete refund since I completely can’t live
With this.
