My hair is amazing! Jackie at Generations brought life to my hair. The environment is comforting. Everyone there is friendly. You have to go you will not be disappointed. I've been coming for years to see Jackie, and may i express years that's how much i am pleased.

I booked for “vibrant hair” 1.5 weeks before my appointment where I write in the notes I want lavender hair. Less than 24 hours before my appointment my stylist calls me and says they’re usually is a consultation prior to getting your hair dyed with vibrant colors, for $45. I told her I selected the option for vibrant hair, and if that wasn’t an option why was it available to book? I offered to come in that day or send photos of my hair so she could get a better idea on what she was working with for my appointment the next day. She agreed, I sent the photos over to the number that she called me on and got no reply. Day of my appointment 30 minutes prior I got a text saying I got your photo so I guess I’ll see you at 10. Show up at my allotted time, stylist was late. She still had to open up the shop. When I was let in and sat in the chair someone else came in (She should have locked the door behind me if she was going to be the only stylist) However she helped other customer in scheduling an appointment, and then the phone rang. She picked up the phone and answered, helping the person on the phone. 1040 rolls around and I am finally being seen, we talk about my hair and what I want it to look like. We go back-and-forth pondering different colors but essentially land on two that would be acceptable. She had pre-mixed some options and we picked two that are my favorite I’d be OK with either of those. She then tells me she has to go to the store to buy the hair color. Now, I think since I said I wanted my hair to be lavender 1.5 weeks ago in my notes they would’ve purchased colors in that color scheme. Regardless, I’m on a time crunch because I’m leaving the state for a remote summer job in two days. So I let her close up the salon and drive to the Store to buy the appropriate hair dye. 1130 rolls around she’s back at the salon & by 12 we are starting on my hair. Lightens, sit in processing chair, wash hair out, put dye on, wash hair out, dry hair. What I asked for and what I got were not even on the same spectrum. She asks my opinion and I’m honest that isn’t what we discussed. She offers to fix it, but not today. Well, I’m leaving remember? So she takes off $50 from the “additional color” as a way to compensate for my hair wanting to make me cry. I get up, put my hair in a pony and stuff it in my jacket, pay her a little under $300(including 10% tip b/c I don’t want to be a complete jerk), leave at 4:45 and then cry. Honestly the $50 she knocked off is going to by the box hair dye I now have to use because I don’t have any time to see a new stylist. That’s only if I have the time because I will be so mortified and embarrassed if I have to wear this all summer. This is my first time with fashion hair and I am mortified that I paid $300 for this and waited this long to get it done. Professionalism: poor. Technique=poor I attached two photos of the two colors we agreed would be okay and what we wanted to look like and then the final result. Honestly the only way to make this right would be a complete refund since I completely can’t live With this.

Despite my stylist running behind it was a great experience. They called and informed me she was running behind which I appreciated very much. They take covid protocol very serious. Already booked my next appointment.

Brianna is absolutely brilliant when it comes to blonding! I’m so happy that I found a stylist who is extremely well educated & will take their time & make sure your happy and satisfied all while making sure your hair is healthy & not compromised in any way. I had gone to a stylist while out of state in Colorado Springs who really damaged my hair and left it with a bright orange band & breakage. After about 3 months of pampering my hair and coming back to Washington I immediately went to Bri. She was able to work her magic and make me a beautiful blonde again with no damage. My hair came out the most beautiful shade of blonde that I love & softer and healthier feeling then when I walked in the salon. Brianna is literally the only stylist I trust to do my hair now lol. If your looking to go blonde, I highly recommend her!

I’ve gone in here a few times because Bri did my hair before and she definitely takes her time. I didn’t really catch a good vibe from anyone which is weird because in most professional salons the owner or employees will at least acknowledge you or will greet you or say something but i never got that welcoming vibe. I get it COVID but usually the salons are lively and welcoming. Again, i went because i liked Bris work. This last time I got my hair treated and the chemicals from the dye not only smelt horrible, but it didn’t stick. I asked if I’d still have to pay for the color portion of the service because my hair didn’t go to jet black like i asked. I pointed it out and she was willing to do half of the cost which was nice & i paid in full for the other service even though I wasn’t satisfied with the results and smelt my hair was radiating with the smell of chemicals. I texted Bri and let her know my hair was really really strong smelling and i was itchy and when I could wash it and she told me within 48 hours. It literally felt like the side of my face and ears were burning off. I texted again the next day letting her know it was still uncomfortable. Then i sent a picture of the back of my ears as it got worse. They were burned and the side of my face had started peeling. I have never experienced burns before like this. I asked about possibly a refund because at this point i’m in pain and have had my hair dyed, relaxed , etc and never had this problem before. My hair got dyed and looked the same as before. Nothing changed . Just pain. The owner told her it was probably because of my mask... but what about the rinsing out that’s done after a dye or treatment ? Something obviously went wrong or was left on too long and i’ve had services during COVID similar and this has never happened. Instead of agreeing to a refund or a complimentary service offering to wash my hair or do something to help the smell/ burn she just blamed the mask. I will not be going here again and honestly feel like the situation isn’t being take as serious as it should be.
