What an experience this has been. In January I had an appointment to get a balayage. I began to have an extremely hot and painful reaction in one spot on my scalp. Beth pulled the foils from my hair and ran me to the water. This moment bleached my shirt I was wearing. It ended up causing burns and welts that were open on my head. Right away I was questioned about my medications, water at my home and the products I use at home. I left with wet, half bleached hair and it was dry and an absolute mess. I was understanding of this since things happen and it didn’t seem to be anyones fault. I was called by the owner and offered my requested service at a later date at no cost. This was a very generous offer and unneeded. I would have happily paid for the service in the future. It took 4 weeks for my scalp to heal in the spot that blistered and welted. I called back to make another appointment. I was told they would do this and that to make sure it didn’t happen again and to make sure I would be safe. This was appreciated. So I make my appointment for over 1.5 months out. I get a call a week after making the second appointment and was asked to come in for a consultation. I agreed and came in on the date and time they indicated would be best for the stylist. I showed up and was greeted, then the front desk girl walked to the back and got on the phone with the stylist who wasn’t there… so I am sitting there for 10 minutes waiting and then she comes and sits next to me and tells me “her kids are sick” and she isn’t here and that she “forgot about it” indicating she forgot my appointment. Pretty sure I heard the girl on the phone say “I was hoping she wouldn’t call back” to the stylist while laughing quietly. I am a VERY understanding person, but seriously? I don’t live close, and work evenings. I got out of bed early and drove up there for NO REASON. And then they have the audacity to offer me a ‘30 minute massage’, I don’t want that. I wanted a freaking phone call, text message, email or carrier pigeon telling me the consult was canceled or that the stylist just didn’t want to do it. Ruined my hair, burned me and wasted my time.

I've been trusting Head Hunter with my hair for years and I love everyone there. Emma is my stylist but I have been going to Melissa while she's out and they're both amazing. I always feel like I'm visiting friends while I'm there because Doug and his entire staff are all so friendly and warm. This is the kind of salon you think only exists in the movies ( like Steel Magnolias). I can't say enough good words about them.

Very pleased with my hairstyle and eyebrow shaping. Beth made me feel beautiful again. I needed this, especially after my husband passed 4 months ago. Don't hesitate to call them! Do it for yourself. Friendly staff too!

Andrea Grove used to cut my hair years ago. I knew Doug back then under MacElwee name. I called to get a haircut as I've been sick and lost alot of my hair I thought Head Hunters is the best place to go. The person answering the phone was extremely rude, talking and laughing with other people and left me hanging there. I know Doug wouldn't go for that. I told her to forget it and I hung up and made an appointment somewhere else. No customer service. Your front line people say or about your business.

A family member recommended I try this place after I saw such a great hair cut they did on my nephew. I was not disappointed, the service was great and professional. My haircut was everything I asked for and I love it. I will continue to come here from now on for haircuts.
