I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It was a complete waste of time and money.
I went to Sue, who was supposed to be the most experienced hair dresser there, to get a balayage. I showed Sue a picture of what I had in mind. The end result was not like the picture, it was a lot lighter, but it was still fine. Two weeks later, the colour had completely faded. I called the studio and told them about the issue and I scheduled an appointment for the following weekend. When I went in to get my hair fixed, Sue was not surprised that the colour had faded. She told me that she had put in a temporary colour! She called it a "misunderstanding." Then when we started to talk about how to fix the issue, she just did not understand what I wanted. She kept telling me that if she colours my hair the way that I want, the colour would fade again in 2-3 weeks. I have been colouring my hair for 15 years and I've never once had the hair colour fade completely in 2-3 weeks! After talking for about 10 minutes, it became clear to me that she would not be able to give me the results that I wanted, so I apologized and told her that it was clear that we were not understanding each other, and that I would be going somewhere else to fix my hair.
I then asked her if it would be possible to get at least a 50% refund, since the hair colour only lasted for 2 weeks and I would have to spend another $300 to go somewhere else to fix it. She initially refused to give me a refund at all, but after arguing with her she finally agreed. I had originally spent $340, she gave me back SIXTY DOLLARS!!!!!! I told her that that was unfair, and that she should at least refund me $170 (which is half of what I had originally paid). I told her I came all the way from Langely to downtown, wasted an entire morning driving all the way downtown and spent $20 on parking, and she said "well this was a waste of time for me too." I asked to speak to the manager, but she told me she is the manager. I left with the $60 and will never go back again.
