A couple years ago, I wanted to dye my hair grey, and I understood the added difficulty of the process given my black hair, so I repeatedly asked my stylist if it was safe or possible to do so in one session, as I was willing to come for a few session, but she assured me many times that only one session was needed to lighten my black virgin hip length hair to a light grey. It ended up costing me around $300, and the result was so disappointing I was left in tears. Aside from the permanent damage to the quality of my hair, the color was a dark blue, and not at all similar to what I asked or paid for. She assured me that the color would lighten after a couple of washes, and told me to come back two days later. After the two days, my hair was not grey by any definition, and the blue had washed off, so what I was left with was black hair and orange ends. I went back, expressing my anger, and given the terrible damage we decided to cut my hair to a bob. As to not waste my money, I was given a card from the then manager with the written promised of a free redo balayage anytime, after my hair grew back out. Just recently, my hair grew back to the length I was happy with, and I wanted to use that redo card to give Chatters another shot, but the people working told me that the manager who gave me the card was no longer an employee there, and that my promise of a redo was worthless. So essentially, I had wasted $300, my hair was dramatically shorter than before, and far worse quality, and Chatters did nothing to fix the mistake they caused. My experience at Chatters was the biggest waste of money and time, and I am so disappointed in the quality of the services and treatment of their paying customers.
