Wanted a trim but got like 4 inches and more off my hair!!!!!!! The Ladies were very nice and accommodated me to a private area (well kind of it wasn't until the end they put a cover, some knew about it and some didn't) So they greeted me and I told them what I wanted and we discussed colour options. So we started with the haircut....the student Stylist explained what she was doing (which I really liked), and I told them I had bad experiences with my hair so she's like don't worry. She told me what she was cutting which didn't seem like much (prob about 2 inches. And I told her 2 layers....and than...It was so choppy & short & uneven! omg I was freaking out in my mind....The student Stylist couldn't even complete my hair to fix my bangs which were very full to begin with but still, so the Teacher came over to fix it, but it still wasn't what I wanted, so she's like lets straighten it see how it is and than I will fix it.......I showed her a pic from the day before I took of my hair and one from a month ago, im like does this look like 2 inches? she asked the student she's like I only took 2 inches but YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE IN THE PIC that it wasn't, but the teacher took her word for it. They kind of dismissed what I was saying when the teacher would ask the student if its true.....I didn't say anything but the teacher said she's fine its okay she's done. She did fix it BUT IT WAS 4 INCHES AND MORE OFF MY HAIR AND NOT WHAT I WANTED!!!! I definitely won't be returning.....Usually when you straighten your hair it shows you the true length (they straightened it and it was still short) in the day before pic I took of my hair it was curly (so comparing my hair today and than pic its about 4 inches (imagine if it was straightened than its more like 5 or 6 inches!!!!) They charged me more than what their website stated and I didn't even get a shampoo wash (because I told them I just washed my hair, so I saved them that time)

Art and technique gave me the confidence to start my own salon and barbershop. I HIGHLY recommend this knowledgeable staff and school to any one looking to enter the hair world. There is way too much to learn at a salon on its own, I definitely recommend that you build your foundation at a school and the name "art and technique" stands out on a resume!

Amazing customer service- really friendly helpful and caring staff - I've gone in to get fixed (after going to another place) and they amaze me with what they are able to do ! They also offer great products and advice and price is always super fair! Love going here- it's the best place!

I went here for my first perm ever, and this place was a great decision. it is much cheaper than "professional" salons, and the finished product turns out as good, or even better, as a regular salon. The students are well educated, and there is a supervisor always around. Everyone is so nice there, after I got many compliments, and it turned out fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to everyone I know, and they can do pretty much anything! I am for sure going to go back.
