I'm disappointed with my experience overall. I was initially pleased when I walked in and they had availability for a haircut, as I'm used to going to salons that require advance bookings. That's where my experience started going downhill. I was taken to a sink for a wash without a greeting, no offer of a welcome drink although others had them. The woman didn't ask if the water temp was OK, just started washing and applying shampoo. It's these small details that differed so much from other salon experiences I've had but I thought maybe I was being picky so I let it go initially. The service package I asked for stated a scalp massage was included, but I did not get a massage. She put conditioner in my hair and left saying it had to sit for 7 minutes and started washing a client next to me. In my experience, this is when a scalp massage would have taken place but it didn't. As a client, I shouldn't have to ask for a service that should have been done as part of what I was paying for. When she returned it felt like she was rushing to finish my wash, even clumsily splashing water on my chest down my shirt. She did apologize, but it shouldn't have even happened if she was being careful and courteous, but was definitely not. She sits me up and doesn't even tie my hair with a towel to dry it or anything just places one on my shoulders, so it's dripping all over me. I'm then ushered to a random stylist, not the person who washed my hair. He doesn't introduce himself, just asks what I'd want so I don't even know who actually cut my hair. My hair is still dripping all over me btw as its soaking wet. He cuts my hair and it seems to be going OK. Until he literally leaves me sitting there at one point to go cash out another customer. Seriously? Never has that happened to me before at any other salon. Totally unprofessional. My stylist constantly pulled my hair when brushing it out as he was totally rushing doing my hair. Seriously, during my blow out he was pulling my head so hard with the round brush I knew that it wasn't right. He was rushing and trying to go fast to finish up and take another client. He left AGAIN during my blowout to do something else, and was looking at his phone before returning to blow drying my hair. At this point I just wanted it all to be over with which is so NOT how you should be feeling at a salon, where you're literally paying for 'professional' service and a nice experience but the behaviour of staff was not professional at all (except the receptionist, who was professional when I walked in and during my payment). Needless to say I will not be going back here due to the unprofessional behaviour of some staff, a lacking of customer service and I left feeling totally shocked at how bad an experience it was. The only silver lining was that my hair cut was OK but I'm not entirely happy with it either. I went to this salon based on the decent reviews but was ultimately disappointed and not satisfied.
