Terrible

It was the first time going to this salon. I was a bit disappointed with the results. The price doesn't reflect the quality. Usually salons ask questions such as: 1. How do you usually style your hair? 2. Do you straighten or tie your hair? This was not asked. I had both a hair coloring and cut completed. Since my hair was very long. They decided to cut it first before coloring it. I did want it to be shorter. I provided the length of what I wanted and I mentioned I wanted layers. The hairstylist cuts my hair but cuts too much off from the back. At that point I was stuck with the length. She should have gone slower in increments. I have been to many hair stylists and they usually go slower and start at the front. They usually ask if you like the length before chopping more. Since she went super short I am unable to tie my hair or even style it in a messy bun, which is what I like to do. She had straightened my hair probably because she knew it was short.

Lack Curtesy

I been going to Vidal Sassoon for almost 2 years. At first they treated me right and given me the best haircut ever. But lately I notice their customer service detroited tremendously. The phone receptionist twice mixed up my appointments and most of all she was rude often. One time they messed up my hair and I wanted the correction. This request was not welcomed at first by them. I had to repeatedly insist for it before they finally agree for the correction. They charge premium price $120 + Tip for such a 2nd class service. Now the MOST important thing, I feel disrespected by them. Even thou you pay high price for your haircut but they judge you based on your financial status and ethnicity. During my haircutS over the years, the stylist asked personal questions (work situations/income, marriage, and other personal details) and based on those collected information they analyze and treat you lesser than someone wealthy. Being a member of visible minority I feel embarrassed at their salon

Truth Hurts

Vidal Sassoon had been considered one of the better salons in Yorkville. No longer. As a long time customer, I find the recent level of service sorely lacking. The atmosphere is stale like week old bread, and the stylists have been riding the Vidal Sassoon reputation for far too long. The salon staff has become complacent, the level of service is not what it should be, given the premium price. It seems obvious to me that a majority of the positive reviews are fake. They talk about having a pleasant atmosphere, but in reality it is disingenuous to the nth degree. There is a colorist, who on multiple occasions gossips about clients to other assistants, forgetting that there are other clients present. Right Kim. It would be prudent to remember that the reason a business exists is to provide the best possible service to it's clients; a lesson that Vidal Sassoon needs to be sorely reminded of. There are too many other salons in the Yorkville area that exceed this salon's fake standards.
