I believe your experience going to chains like this depends solely on the individual barber/beautician. In my case, I only go to Amira. She is great. Very talented, personable, fun to talk to. She does a great haircut for men and I know several folks that go there only for her. I utilize a second Fantastic Sam's location in Fountain Hills as well.... there I recommend Tanya. Also great. Others at each location are unknown.

Had the best hair color experience here after a botched hair cut/color at another location. Rae the store manager took care of everything! I'm only going here from now on and sending everyone I know to her as well.

I went to get a haircut today and got the worst haircut experience ever. This is not the first time this happens. I got a really bad rash on the back of my neck. Also, very painful. See pictures.

I went to Jennifer at this location for 3 years and she a great job. Since she left I tried others and they did a terrible job. Happily, I found Jennifer at the 87th Street location of Fantastic Sams and we're back to having our hair done by a professional. Thank, Jennifer

I have been going here about a year or so. Amira is a wonderful stylist and her color work is perfection. In my whole life (even at posh salons in Scottsdale that serve wine), I have never had hilighting without bleeding color at the root. UNTIL Amira. I can also trust her judgement with particular colors or how many foils I nees. Such a pleasure to sit down and say "whatever you think will make me look best". The Fantastic Sam's chain is no appointments and I plan ahead - no issues. The other employees of the salon are welcoming and friendly. On the few occasions I needed to wait, I was not bored. They have a wide variety of high end hair products priced the same as a big box store. A few cuts earns you $10 coupon off of product so it ends up being a better deal. I love this stylist so much I drive 40 miles to get there. The shop is close to nice shopping so I can show off my new looks.
