After seeing so many positive reviews I wanted to give this place a shot. I’ve been looking high and low for a place to cut & color my natural 4c hair & I thought I’d found the place. I booked an appointment for a Curly Haircut and single process color with Jessica Lee. The day before the appointment, the stylist texts me to ask for a picture of my hair. After a quick back and forth, the stylist then asks if it would be ok for her & a coworker to team up to do my hair because she can do the coloring but doesn’t feel comfortable cutting my ‘texture’. I immediately agree because I want whatever’s going to produce the best outcome. Almost immediately after she tells me that the service may cost more because she may need to bleach my hair. I have a strict budget I need to stay on & told her so, asking for the price of the haircut on top of the new price she quoted me. After dodging my question about the price twice & asking me if I want to cancel before even trying to find a solution, her final excuse was that her coworker need to leave early the day of so she couldn’t do the cut anymore & that she was trying to save Me time by asking if I wanted to cancel. After realizing that she just didn’t want to do my hair, I conceded because I didn’t have time for the back & forth, and I’m not going to beg to pay you for a service you’re a supposed professional in. For a salon that’s home page boldly claims ‘all textures welcome’ my hair and I didn’t feel welcome here at all. I am disappointed at the lack of customer service or genuine interest to make this girls hair dream come true. If you want to be disappointed & have your appointment canceled the night before because the stylist can’t handle your hair texture, book ‘hype’ if not book anywhere else. It’s not worth the hype.
