I had set an appt. with Maisha for my daughter's hair appt. after she has done my hair twice. I expected to make her a permanent hair dresser because she did a great job the two times I saw her. I expressed to her that I was looking for a permanent hair dresser for me and my two girls. I explained I was looking for a hairdresser who was punctual and communicative. Fast forward to two weeks ago I text her and first issue was it took almost two days for her to respond and set up appt for the following week. I rearranged my and my daughter's schedule( I am a single mother who works 70 hours 6 days a week, my daughter has tutoring on that day so I canceled tutor so she could get into c maisha since it was my only day off) and I drive 45 min to get there and because i was taught right I get there 15 min. early. So 5 min. after appt was suppose to take place i text Maisha and I don't get a response for another 10 min. She says her daughter was "sick "and she is "sorry" and can she reschedule. I completely empathize with having sick kids. Been there done that, however when it happens i make sure to give a courtesy call to my clients to cancelappointments to reschedule or if its an emergency and i am unable to call before hand I bend over backwards to make it right. When you own shop and have an emergency then you are responsible to let clients know or have an assistant do that. If you are unable to do that then you do apologize and offer something ex: discount or something. Because in reality I do not know her have been to see her twice and don't know her enough to know whether she is lying or not. Her response was passive aggressive. This is what gives black hair dressers a bad name and considered flaky. Not happy and will not be going back.
