Prior to Sunny Day Hair Salon, I always had my hair done somewhere else because I was comfortable there and didn't want to look for a new stylist. However, after my family members received a series of great hair cuts from Sunny Day, I figured I should just try it out. Julie is amazing. Now I'm really particular about the different styles I want. Once I find a picture I like, I'm dead set on it and only want it done that way. However, Julie is really great at giving advice and knows what looks good on different face shapes. So, she'll give you her thoughts and advice but if you really want it done your way, she'll do it for you. I recently got highlights and showed her a picture of how I wanted it. I was pretty resistant towards her recommendations so she gave me what was in the picture. It didn't really turn out how I wanted, so I went back and she fixed it for me perfectly. She explained that the reason why I couldn't get the effect of the highlights I wanted in the pictures was because it was too light and not natural for my hair. So in the end, the advice she gave me for my first appointment was to prevent something like this from happening. She's someone that you can trust and knows what she's talking about, so I highly recommend her and the rest of the ladies at Sunny Day!

I highly recommend this place and Young to anyone that needs a new haircut or a new hair style. I really needed a good haircut and style after not going to any hair salon for a year, and I found this place through Google and Yelp, and I cannot be happier to find this place! First, Young looked at my hair and recommended different types of styles that would fit me well, and helped me with the decision. She did a fantastic job! Following her suggestion and advice, I got the magic perm to straighten my frizzy hair and a beautiful cut in shoulder length! Three hours of styling did not feel like 3 hours and it was fun! Again, highly recommend Young!

I've only been here once, but this place is wonderful! The stylists are incredibly friendly and I'm over the moon with my hair! I'll definitely be a returning customer.

5 stars for excellent service and excellent staff! I came in for a last min hair straightening treatment an hour before closing and my hairstylist Young still took me in. She was so friendly and kind! The process took past closing time and the entire staff stayed behind to take care of my hair without rushing the process. I've had a nightmare hair straightening experience from a different hair salon where they damaged my hair to the point it caused breakage. But here Young and Julie took care to make sure my hair would stay healthy with an additional Hair Botox treatment which is magic by the way. It's an additional cost but worth it to keep your hair healthy, shiny, and fuss free straight. It's definitely worth the price tag to wake up everyday and not have to spend more than five minutes on my hair. Overall the staff was incredibly friendly and I can vouch for Young and Julie's talent and passion. They want to make you feel beautiful and I left feeling just that way. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back!
