Love love love. They almost never let me down. Ulta has come up since opening its doors. Now that it Carrie's department store brands, it puts it up there with the department stores. They carry Nars, Anastasia, Urban Decay, Philosophy, along with your drugstore brands. You can't have a better combination. Their high end hair products are the bees knees as well. I have to hold back when I go in there. I will end up spending all of my money if I don't. Also, the staff is very helpful and available.

I you're looking for a boring mom cut I suppose it will be ok. I wanted an edgy angled bob to fix a boring cut from a few weeks ago and ended up with a totally uneven haircut more fit for a dude. When she finished initial cut, it was exactly the same as before but shorter, so I did ask her for more layering and texture. Still, the layers were terribly done. After a couple days of my hair settling, I could see the full horror. She just did not understand what I wanted, or simply did not know how to do it. I am going to have to get it fixed at another salon. Not worth $50.

I had the best experience EVER at the salon at Ulta at Pentagon Row. My new hero is Jay Earhart, Master Designer and he is absolutely FABULOUS!! I wasn't crazy about my hair or it's color, I showed him exactly what I wanted from a past picture and when he was done, I felt my old self again. It was a wonderful experience, I've found my hair guru and if I could, I'd give him 10+ stars. Jay is definitely my hair guy from now on.

They typically have everything I'm looking for in stock. My one gripe is that I get borderline accosted everytime I walk in from people asking me if I need help. But when you go over to the stand at the end of the aisle withthe disposable tools to sample the makeup it's always empty with a full trash can. It just feels very pushy that they want to sell you something and care less about the level of service.
